The plant specialises in production of heads in gravity die casting and suspension parts in low pressure. Teksid Aluminum is located at Carmagnola, close to Turin, in the north of Italy. The plant began to operate in 1967: its main concern over the years has been the development of wide ranging experience in the aluminum engine parts and suspensions. The prime objective of Carmagnola plant is "Product quality".
Heavy capital expenditures have been devoted to continuos improvement of the reliability of its manufacturing processes, as well as technological updating and staff training. Main customers are: Fiat, Ford, Iveco, PSA.

Certifications The plant is certified as per standard ISO-TS 16949:2002 for the quality system and ISO 14001 for the Environment-Safety Management System.

Gravity die casting or S.P.M. is the most known technology in the world to produce high quality castings.
High mechanical properties are obtained using a steel shell making external shape of the casting, while internal cavities are molded by sand cores which are produced with “hot box” and “cold box” coring technologies.
Most important products are cylinder heads and rear suspension arms.
Strictly connected with Carmagnola plant is the Gravity Casting Platform that matches the experience of all worldwide plants, customer request and product development capacity.
