Getti Speciali (special castings) plant is located at Borgaretto, just outside Turin. “Getti Speciali” produces premium aluminum and magnesium alloy castings for the aerospace industry for defence applications, high speed trains and for biomedical applications.
Main customers are: : Eurocopter, Avio, Hispano Suiza, Sorin, Alstom.


Melting	• • •	4 melting furnaces with a 700 Kg/H capacity each 2 furnaces for magnesium casting 5 stand by furnaces for aluminum casting

Molding	• • •	3 molding equipment for self-hardening sand molds and cores for aluminum casting 1 molding equipment for self-hardening sand molds and cores for magnesium casting 3 molding equipment for green sand molds for aluminum casting

Core Making	•	5 blowing machines for cores production (cold and hot box)

Finishing	• • •	10 heat treatment furnaces 1 shot blasting shake out machine 1 thermal shake out oven

Casting	• • • •	5 benches for gravity aluminum casting in permanent mold equipped with electrical stand by furnaces 3 units for aluminum low pressure casting in permanent mold 1 low pressure magnesium casting equipment 1 special alloys gravity investment casting equipment


Radiographic	• • •	4 Xray rooms equipped with tubes 150 to 320 KV 2 developing machines facilities for films viewing

Fluorescent penetrant inspection	• •	1 loop for parts up to 1500 mm. long 1 installation for bigger size parts

Chemical composition	•	1 spectrograph Baird

Mechanical properties	•	1 traction testing machine (Amsler)

Brinnel hardness	•	1 testing machine (Briviskop)

Certifications The plant is certified as per standard ISO-TS 16949:2002 for the quality system and ISO 14001 for the Environment-Safety Management System.
